Tools by task

Start with 60 tools. Choose a task below, or search the complete library.

Clean and compare text

Terminal escape controls differ from ordinary text. Check the remaining characters after removing controls from captured output.

Format and convert JSON or CSV

A syntax check does not verify field meanings. Check CSV headers, quoted cells, and identifier types before converting records.

Encode text and convert number bases

Distinguish encoded bytes from an integer written in another base. Check the source alphabet, padding, and delimiters first.

Work with encryption and ciphers

Match the sender's cipher, key, mode, and IV. Keep classical puzzle ciphers separate from tools for protecting new messages.

Calculate hashes and checksums

Choose bcrypt for password hashes or SHA-2 for digests. For protocol checksums, match the exact CRC, Adler, or Fletcher variant.

Inspect keys and certificates

A key, certificate, and signing request use different containers. Identify the container before converting its bytes or inspecting its fields.

Prepare web and network data

Distinguish URL substitutions from protocol fields. Defanging changes link text; NetBIOS and VarInt tools require their own byte formats.

Convert timestamps

Unix timestamps and FILETIME use different epochs and units. Check seconds versus milliseconds before converting a value.

Calculate values and inspect the steps

Match the question to statistics, sets, algebra, binary arithmetic, science, or ramp geometry. Units and model assumptions change the answer.

Generate a De Bruijn test sequence

Choose alphabet size and window length for a De Bruijn sequence. Output grows exponentially; start with small values.

Extract URLs and hexadecimal hash candidates

Extract addresses with a protocol, or hexadecimal strings of a chosen length. A match does not prove safety or identity.
