PGP Encryption
Encrypt a text message to a recipient's OpenPGP public key. Get an armored PGP MESSAGE block, encrypted in your browser.
This tool runs open-source code from CyberChef by GCHQ (Apache License 2.0). See open-source credits.
The operation creates a fresh session key and encrypts for the supplied OpenPGP recipient key.
The result is an armored PGP MESSAGE block. Copy its complete BEGIN and END lines.
- Send a password or recovery code to someone who publishes a PGP key.

Supply the recipient public key
- Confirm the recipient’s public-key fingerprint through a trusted channel.
- Paste that public block and the message text.
- Save the encrypted result and test decryption with the matching private key.
Encrypt abc as an armored message
Input: abc
Settings: Public key of recipient: the public key block from a new PGP Key Pair Generator run with Key type ECC-256
Result: An armored block from -----BEGIN PGP MESSAGE----- to -----END PGP MESSAGE-----. It holds one public-key encrypted session key packet and one integrity-protected data packet. The Base64 text changes on every run.
PGP Decryption with the matching private key returns abc for every one of these messages.
Unsigned messages and recipient compatibility
- The message has no sender signature.
- The tool supports one recipient and version 4 keys.
- The operation does not consult keyservers or check external revocation information.
