Instructions
- Provide text or data for this tool.
- Keep the armor boundaries and complete encrypted message. This applies to PGP Decryption.
- Compare recovered text with the public fixture before handling other data. This applies to PGP Decryption.
Example
Input: Use the armored output from a disposable PGP Encrypt run and its matching private recipient key.
Settings: PGP Decryption: Private key of recipient takes the complete armored private key. Private key passphrase unlocks that key when it is protected.
Result: It unboxes the armored encrypted message and returns the recovered text, or reports a decryption error.
Limits
- PGP Decryption: The recipient's public key alone cannot perform this decryption.
- PGP Decryption: Successful decryption does not by itself verify a sender signature or identity.
