Shuffle List randomizes parsed item order and can return a selected number of items.

An unpredictable permutation of the three items. Processing runs in the browser.

Instructions

  1. Provide text or data for this tool.
  2. Choose the separator mode before running the shuffle.
  3. Set a positive length only when you need a subset.
  4. Keep the original list if you need to reproduce the previous order.

Example

Input: red blue green

Settings: Shuffle List: Split and join on newline, then request all shuffled items.

Result: An unpredictable permutation of the three items.

Limits

  • Shuffle List: The shuffle uses runtime randomness and has no seed control.
  • Shuffle List: A requested length can return fewer items only when the source has fewer items.
  • Shuffle List: The operation runs in the browser and does not need a network service.
