Text uses UTF-8. This list includes legacy hashes for compatibility checks. LM uses only the first 14 ASCII characters. Do not use these results for new password storage.

This tool runs open-source code from CyberChef by GCHQ (Apache License 2.0). See open-source credits.

all hashes Generator uses all hashes Generator for the supplied input. It runs the implemented digest collection, including SHA-2, SHA-3, Keccak, BLAKE2, and legacy hashes.

It runs the implemented digest collection, including SHA-2, SHA-3, Keccak, BLAKE2, and legacy hashes. This result runs in the browser for this catalog category. Processing runs in the browser.

This operation reports a digest or checksum; it does not provide encryption, identity, or complete application security.

Instructions

  1. Provide text or data for this tool.
  2. Use the 256-bit filter to compare SHA2 256 with SHA3 256. This applies to all hashes Generator.
  3. Save labels because equal digest lengths do not identify the algorithm. This applies to all hashes Generator.

Example

Input: Use ASCII "abc", Length (bits) 256, and Include names enabled.

Settings: all hashes Generator: Select All or one listed digest length from 128 through 512 bits. Include names preserves algorithm labels beside output lines.

Result: It runs the implemented digest collection, including SHA-2, SHA-3, Keccak, BLAKE2, and legacy hashes.

Limits

  • all hashes Generator: The collection includes weak legacy algorithms and is not a security recommendation.
  • all hashes Generator: It is a fixed implementation list, not a guarantee that every available hash appears.
