Byte encoders, decoders, and number base tools

First decide whether your input represents bytes, an integer, a URL component, or a structured record.

Choose by task

Represent bytes and URL components

Base32 Decoder returns byte values, so do not expect readable words from every result. Base64 Encoder and Decoder supports both directions. Match its alphabet to the source. Use Hex Decoder for hexadecimal byte pairs; exclude address columns from copied dumps.

Choose Modhex Encoder when the receiving format requires its modified hexadecimal alphabet. URL Encoder and Decoder uses a percent sign followed by two hexadecimal digits for each escaped byte. Check the source character encoding before interpreting escaped bytes as text. Read the binary encoding guide for alphabet, padding, and byte-boundary examples.

Convert integers or calculate with bit widths

Use Decimal, Hex, Binary and Octal Converter to express the same integer in another base. Binary and Hex Calculator with Bit Widths adds arithmetic and bitwise operations. Select width and signedness before interpreting overflow. BCD Encoder encodes decimal digits separately. Its packed and signed settings differ from ordinary binary notation.

Remove a wrapper or convert records

Use PEM to Hex Converter to remove labeled Base64 before examining ASN.1 tags. In AMF Decoder, select Hex only when your source contains hexadecimal byte pairs. Literal text and Hex select different input bytes. CSV and JSON Converter instead maps table cells into JSON strings. It does not decode binary payloads.
