How do I censor specific words in text?

Enter the words to censor on separate lines and choose replacement text or a symbol. Matching ignores letter case and uses word boundaries.

Can I replace every letter with a censor symbol?

Yes. Enable the per-letter symbol option to repeat the symbol for the matched word length. Otherwise the tool inserts one replacement symbol or your replacement text.

Does censoring guarantee removal of every sensitive phrase?

No. Word-boundary matching can miss spelling variants, punctuation patterns, or other scripts. Review the output before sharing text that contains sensitive information.
