Instructions

  4. Choose an output separator that does not hide boundaries.

Settings: Split Text: Use length mode with length 3 and join parts with '|'.

Result: abc|def|gh

Limits

  • Split Text: Length and chunk values must be positive.
  • Split Text: Chunk mode cannot request more chunks than the text length.
  • Split Text: The operation runs in the browser and does not need a network service.

Questions

Can I split text by a delimiter or fixed length?

Yes. The controls offer a symbol, regular expression, fixed length, or number of chunks. Choose the mode that matches how you define each part.

How do I add text before and after every split part?

Use the before-part and after-part fields. The output separator controls how those completed parts join together.

Why does regex splitting differ from splitting on a symbol?

A symbol matches literal separator text. A regular expression can match variable patterns such as whitespace runs, so its boundaries can differ.
