Citrix CTX1 Encoder
Apply Citrix CTX1 Encode with explicit key, format, and algorithm settings. Enter the data and key material, choose the parameters, then review the result.
This tool runs open-source code from CyberChef by GCHQ (Apache License 2.0). See open-source credits.
Citrix CTX1 Encoder uses CTX1 password obfuscation to process the supplied input. It converts text to UTF-16LE, applies chained XOR with 0xa5, and returns numeric bytes representing A through P.
It converts text to UTF-16LE, applies chained XOR with 0xa5, and returns numeric bytes representing A through P. Processing runs in the browser for this catalog category, so the result depends on the supplied bytes and settings. Processing runs in the browser.
This tool performs the selected algorithm locally; it does not provide application trust or key management.
Instructions
- Provide text or data for this tool.
- Enter a public one-character fixture such as A. This applies to Citrix CTX1 Encoder.
- Compare the displayed array with [79,69,69,66]; those bytes spell OEEB. This applies to Citrix CTX1 Encoder.
Example
Input: Text "A" produces byte values [79,69,69,66], which represent ASCII "OEEB".
Settings: Citrix CTX1 Encoder: Input is text and output is a byte array. There is no password, key, or mode control.
Result: It converts text to UTF-16LE, applies chained XOR with 0xa5, and returns numeric bytes representing A through P. Processing runs in the browser for this catalog category, so the result depends on the supplied bytes and settings.
Limits
- Citrix CTX1 Encoder: This is reversible obfuscation, not password hashing.
- Citrix CTX1 Encoder: Anyone with the encoded value can use the paired decoder without a secret key.
