Fuzzy Match Text Processor scores a search pattern against input text and highlights matching character sequences.

A highlighted match for the D and Panic characters. Processing runs in the browser.

Instructions

  1. Provide text or data for this tool.
  2. Enter the search pattern in the Search field.
  3. Adjust scoring weights only when default ranking is unsuitable.
  4. Treat 'No matches.' as a result, not as a parser error.

Example

Input: Don't Panic

Settings: Fuzzy Match Text Processor: Search for 'dpan' and keep the default scoring weights.

Result: A highlighted match for the D and Panic characters.

Limits

  • Fuzzy Match Text Processor: Fuzzy matching is heuristic and does not prove semantic similarity.
  • Fuzzy Match Text Processor: Changing weights changes scores and highlighted ranges.
  • Fuzzy Match Text Processor: The operation runs in the browser and does not need a network service.
