How do I multiply two fractions?

Multiply their numerators and multiply their denominators. Then divide both products by their greatest common divisor. For example, 2/3 times 9/10 gives 18/30, which reduces to 3/5.

Can I enter mixed numbers or decimal fractions?

The four fields accept signed integers only. Convert a mixed number to an improper fraction first. For example, 1 1/2 becomes numerator 3 and denominator 2. Decimal and expression input are not supported.

Does this round large fraction products?

No. It uses exact integer arithmetic and reduces the result with a greatest common divisor. Each field accepts up to 200 digits. The output keeps a positive denominator and does not add a rounded decimal approximation.

Example
