Play Media Audio Processor creates a browser player from recognized audio or video bytes. Select the matching Raw, Base64, or Hex input format. It does not download media from a website address or convert codecs.

The result contains an embedded media preview. Browser support determines playback; the tool does not report codec validity.

  • Preview recognized media bytes from a trusted sample.
  • Check whether encoded media input reaches a browser player.
  • Distinguish a media file from text containing its address.

Instructions

  1. Save this hexadecimal sample in a text file: 524946462600000057415645666d74201000000001000100401f0000401f00000100080064617461020000008080. Select that file and choose Hex under Input format.
  2. Run the tool. The result contains a player for the recognized WAV bytes.
  3. Use the player controls with a longer supported recording. This two-sample fixture checks recognition and is too short to hear.

Example

Input: A 52-byte WAV file with four silent 16-bit mono samples at 8000 Hz

Settings: Input format Raw

Result: An audio player with controls for the detected type audio/x-wav

The tool detects the media type from the RIFF WAVE bytes, not from the file name.

Limits

  • The browser must support the codec. Recognizing the file signature does not prove that playback will succeed.
  • Raw means file bytes represented as text, not a URL. Prefer Hex or Base64 for copied binary data.
  • This tool does not edit, transcribe, trim, or repair recordings.
  • Large encoded inputs use browser memory. Use a small non-sensitive sample first.
