Limits

  • Clock Time Truncator: Truncation does not carry values upward.
  • Clock Time Truncator: Removing minutes and seconds keeps hour 12.
  • Clock Time Truncator: It does not calculate elapsed time.

Questions

How do I remove seconds from a clock time?

Choose the option that removes only seconds. The tool keeps the hour and minute components instead of rounding to the nearest minute.

Can I replace removed time components with zeros?

Yes. Enable zero output to add zero-valued components after truncation. Zero padding separately controls whether those components use two digits.

Does truncating 12:59:59 produce 13:00:00?

No. Truncation discards components without carrying their values upward. Removing minutes and seconds keeps the hour value 12.
